The relocation benefits three key services:
- #Thrive: This service supports young people up to age 19 experiencing everyday emotional health challenges, such as stress, low mood, or anxiety. Their popular summer drop-in sessions will continue every Tuesday and Thursday, commencing at Croft Shifa from August 19th.
- Parent Infant Mental Health Service: This specialist service provides support to parents and carers in bonding with babies up to two years old, focusing on attachment guidance and early relationship support.
- Young People’s Mental Health Support Team: Working directly with schools and colleges across the borough, this team provides early intervention for mental health, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
It's important to note that this move does not affect Rochdale’s core Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), which remain based at Birch Hill Hospital.
