CCTV Appeal After Thieves Carry Out £250 Chocolate Heist at Heywood Supermarket
Heywood, Greater Manchester – Police are hunting for two men after a brazen early-morning theft in which chocolate valued at £250 was stolen from a supermarket in Heywood, near Rochdale.
Greater Manchester Police have released CCTV images of two individuals they wish to speak to in connection with the shoplifting incident, which took place at a store on Middleton Road on Tuesday, September 2nd.
According to a police spokesperson, the theft occurred at approximately 7:50 AM. Two men entered the supermarket, "filled a carrier bag with chocolate worth £250 then walked out without paying".
In an effort to identify the suspects, officers have now issued a public appeal, sharing the CCTV stills on social media. Police believe the men pictured could hold key information vital to their enquiries.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police stated: "Officers would like to speak to the men pictured in relation to this incident as they believe they could help with their enquiries".
Authorities are urging anyone who recognises the men in the images, or who may have any information about the incident, to come forward.
