Man Charged With Firearm and Driving Offences Following Heywood Police Pursuit
A man has been charged with gun and driving offences after police pursued a vehicle through Heywood this September.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that Christopher Riley, of New Line, Bacup, was arrested and charged following the incident on Thursday, September 10th.
Riley, born April 2, 1977, faces charges of possession of a firearm, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police officers.
The arrest followed a targeted operation in Heywood. According to Greater Manchester Police, officers initiated a pursuit of a suspect vehicle after receiving intelligence indicating that a potential firearm was inside the car.

Following his arrest and subsequent charges, Riley was remanded in custody. He was due to make his appearance in connection with the charges at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Saturday, September 12th.
