Rochdale's Balderstone and Kirkholt By-Election Heats Up Amidst Allegations of Harassment

Rochdale, UK - The race to elect a new councillor for the Balderstone and Kirkholt ward in Rochdale is intensifying, with seven candidates vying for the coveted seat.

However, the campaign has taken a dramatic turn following an incident that affected former Green Party candidate Jordan Eves.

Labour party members, were canvassing in the OL11 post-code area when they called at a residential building, where the former election candidate resides. According to Mr. Eves, after he expressed his intention to consider voting Labour again, the situation quickly deteriorated. A man approached the group and made a slanderous false statement about him directly to the Labour team.

Mr. Eves has expressed his disappointment and claimed the incident highlights the ongoing issues of crime and abuse in the OL11 post-code area, alleging that those responsible for the abuse are now directing slander directly towards local Labour members.

The alleged incident may have sparked debate amongst residents and could raise questions about safety and the handling of local issues in the Balderstone and Kirkholt ward. It remains to be seen how this development could impact the outcome of the highly anticipated by-election.

The candidates will be continuing to campaign in the coming days, hoping to secure the votes needed to represent Balderstone and Kirkholt on Rochdale Council. Voters are encouraged to research each candidate and their platforms before casting their ballots.
