Man Arrested After Suspected Firearms Discovered in Rochdale Property
Rochdale, UK - A 52-year-old man has been arrested after police discovered a number of suspected firearms inside a property on Bentley Street in Rochdale on Thursday morning, May 29th.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that officers were conducting a search of the property, located in the Shawclough area of the town, when they unearthed the items. The suspected firearms, believed to be between five and six in number, were seized and are now undergoing further analysis.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and remains in police custody.
A photograph from the scene showed approximately half a dozen officers in white forensic suits outside the property, suggesting a thorough investigation of the premises.
