Rochdale Born Resident Alleges Bus Assault is Part of Racially Motivated Harassment Campaign
Rochdale, Greater Manchester, UK – A Rochdale man has come forward with serious allegations, claiming a recent assault he suffered at the hands of a Bee Network bus driver is the culmination of a years-long, racially motivated harassment campaign orchestrated by online figures and members of his own extended family.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on a bus on Queensway earlier this year. The victim, Mr. Jordan Eves, states that the assault was not a random act of aggression but rather the direct result of a hostile environment fostered against him due to his proven heritage.
Mr. Eves has publicly identified two individuals, Eileen Oliver and Wayne Croston Fielding, as primary online instigators.

Mr. Eves has publicly identified two individuals, Eileen Oliver and Wayne Croston Fielding, as primary online instigators.
According to Mr. Eves, these individuals have been targeting him in a prolonged 'onslaught' with the alleged aim of promoting a homogenous, white-centric image of Rochdale and, "covering up recognisable foreignness", in the town. The campaign, he claims, has specifically focused on his Asian ancestry.
In a deeply personal and complex accusation, Mr. Eves contends that members of his own extended family, namely Nigel Eves and Susan McCondichie (formerly Susan Eves), have been actively involved in pressing this campaign against him.
Speaking out, Mr. Eves expressed profound frustration, stating he, "should not be made the centre of attention", in a narrative pitting continents in grim contrast to each other. He voiced his fear that, "the issue is going to go on forever".
Mr. Eves is open and proud of his heritage, describing himself as, "largely Frankish", while acknowledging that his, "Asian traits are very strong genetic traits". He states that while he celebrates his deep ancestry, his openness has been used against him. 'Jordan should be commended for being real about his descent', is the statement attributed to his perspective, here on The Rochdale Valiant.
He believes he is being used for 'scapegoating' by onlookers who 'can't handle' his comfort with his own identity. He further alleges that this is done to, "insinuate social unrest to benefit those who are shy about their mixed or Asian descent".
The alleged assault on the Bee Network bus is not the most recent and violent manifestation of the prejudice he claims to have faced, however, it has been a significant contributing factor to the unrest in Rochdale, leading up to this summer, as has similar incidents across the borough.
As of this report, official statements from Greater Manchester Police regarding an investigation into the assault seem non-existent, due to under-reporting directly to the police, and awareness that such incidents often get overlooked. Transport for Greater Manchester and the Bee Network operator have not issued a comment on the alleged incident involving their driver, as the driver seems to have escpaed the issue quietly. Attempts to reach Eileen Oliver, Wayne Croston Fielding, Nigel Eves, and Susan McCondichie for a response to these allegations were not immediately successful.
The case brings to light troubling claims of targeted harassment, raising questions about community relations and the impact of online activity on individual safety in Rochdale.
