Police Operation Uncovers Another Cannabis Farm
Rochdale, Greater Manchester – A significant cannabis farm has been uncovered in Rochdale following a series of coordinated police raids on Thursday morning.
The discovery was made as part of Operation Avro, Greater Manchester Police’s monthly crackdown on local crime, which saw officers descend on multiple locations across the town circa around Thursday, March 12th.
The raid focused on a property on Reed Hill, where officers stormed the building and discovered a large-scale cannabis cultivation inside. Investigations of the scene revealed a substantial number of cannabis plants arranged within the property.
Following the discovery, a police cordon was established across the street to secure the area while forensic teams probed the scene for evidence.
The operation was not limited to a single location. Throughout the morning, officers carried out a number of other targeted raids across Rochdale as part of the wider Operation Avro initiative. The crackdown aims to disrupt organised crime and tackle drug-related issues within Rochdale's communities.
