Two Women Arrested After Child Seriously Injured in Rochdale
Two women have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury to a child who remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Police launched an investigation after being called to a property at Spotland Tops in Rochdale at around 4:16 PM on Saturday, 22nd August, following reports concerning the welfare of a child. It was found that a 3 year old boy fell from a window.
Emergency services quickly attended the scene, and an air ambulance landed nearby. The child was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment, where he remains in a critical condition.
Following enquiries, police officers arrested two women, aged 19 and 20, at an address in Blackburn on Sunday, 23rd August. Both were detained on suspicion of causing serious injury to a child.
