Teenager in Hospital After Stabbing in Middleton Town Centre

Middleton, Greater Manchester – An 18-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in Middleton town centre on Thursday evening.

Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation after being called to reports of an injured male on Long Street on August 28th.

Upon arrival, officers established a police cordon, taping off an area directly outside the Harbord Harbord pub. A significant police presence was reported at the scene as initial enquiries got underway.


It was later confirmed that an 18-year-old victim had attended hospital with stab wounds. A spokesperson for the force stated that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet known. Witnesses at the scene claimed that the victim went inside the pub to ask for help immediately following the attack, but this has not been officially confirmed by police.

Detectives are now working to piece together how the teenager sustained his injuries, with CCTV enquiries in the surrounding area being carried out.
