Early Morning Raid Uncovers Cannabis Farm and Weapons in Turf Hill
Turf Hill, 29th September 2025 – In a swift and decisive operation in the early hours of this morning, neighbourhood officers from the Pennine division executed a warrant at a property in Turf Hill, leading to the discovery of a small cannabis farm and the seizure of illicit substances and weapons.
The raid followed a period of intelligence gathering that linked the property to suspected drug-related activities. Upon gaining entry, officers located a cannabis cultivation setup within the premises. Alongside the drugs, officers also seized a quantity of weapons. All seized items have been taken for destruction.
Recognising the significant fire risk associated with illegal cannabis farms, Electricity North West was promptly called to the scene. Their attendance ensured the property's power supply was safely isolated, mitigating the considerable danger these setups often pose to surrounding properties and residents.
Anyone with concerns or suspicions about potential cannabis cultivation in their neighbourhood is encouraged to report the matter. Information can be shared by calling 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
