Edenfield Road Closed Off After Two-Car Crash Sees Three Treated for Minor Injuries

Rochdale – A busy road was cordoned off by emergency services on Monday night following a two-car collision that left two vehicles badly damaged.

Police, paramedics, and fire crews rushed to the incident on Edenfield Road in Cutgate at around 7 PM on December 1st. The crash, which took place outside the Esso and Morrisons service station, prompted a major emergency response.

The road was taped off for approximately 40 minutes at the junction with Caldershaw Road as emergency teams worked at the scene. Within the police cordon, two cars could be seen with significant damage from the impact.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three casualties, two adults and a child, were involved. Fortunately, all three had managed to rescue themselves from the vehicles before the arrival of fire crews. They were checked over at the scene by paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service for what were described as minor injuries.

Numerous fire engines, along with an ambulance and a police car, were in attendance. Firefighters worked to make the vehicles and the surrounding area safe before handing the scene over to Greater Manchester Police for investigation.

Crews remained at the incident for around forty minutes. It is not clear if any arrests have been made in connection with the collision.
