Rochdale Man Charged with Murder Following Discovery of Woman’s Body
Rochdale, Greater Manchester – A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Rochdale late last month.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that Kyle Howard, of Tweedale Street, Rochdale, has been charged in connection with the incident.
The charge follows an investigation into a concern for welfare call received by police on the afternoon of Monday, 25th May 2026. Upon arrival at a property on Tweedale Street, officers discovered the body of a 44-year-old woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the discovery, detectives launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. Howard, born on 13th June 2000, was taken into custody as part of these ongoing enquiries.
On Wednesday, 3rd June 2026, Howard was scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court to face the charge.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police stated that the charge is the result of continuous investigative work conducted since the woman was found.
As criminal proceedings are now active, authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculation regarding the case.
