Three Arrested and £150k of Drugs Seized Following Dangerous Driving Incident in Rochdale

Rochdale, Greater Manchester – Three people have been arrested and drugs with a street value estimated at more than £150,000 have been seized following a police stop on a busy Rochdale road.

The operation was launched by Greater Manchester Police on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, after officers received reports of dangerous driving on Bolton Road shortly before 11:30 AM.

Upon arrival, officers located a Range Rover matching the description provided by witnesses. The vehicle was stopped and subsequently searched. According to police reports, officers recovered 5 kg of Class A drugs from both the driver and the vehicle.


A 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, as well as driving whilst unfit through drugs. He remains in custody for questioning.


Further Raids and Arrests

Following the initial stop, officers executed a search warrant at an address linked to the suspect. During the property search, police discovered a further 5kg of Class A drugs and a quantity of Class B drugs.

Two additional arrests were made at the address:

  • A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
  • A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

Both individuals have been interviewed and subsequently bailed pending further investigation.


Police Confirmation and Appeal

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed the seizures, noting that the police are comitted to stopping the supply of illegal drugs across Greater Manchester.
